Just a little Gold!
Here in Western Oklahoma we don’t have a very colorful autumn. Oh, we have color but just not a variety. I took my camera with me today and looked for some reds, yellows, oranges and greens. What I saw was some browns, almost browns and a few yellows. Here is a photo of a tree on our main street in our little town. It is a beautiful tree and probably one of the few in our little town that actually puts on a show for us in the fall.

When I got home I noticed – duh, it was there all the time – a tree in my neighbors yard. The sun was shining on it just right and it was beautiful!

Wait, what do I see right there on the lower left of that tree………is that some red? Let’s look a little closer….

It IS red! I lied…….we do have some red autumn leaves in Western Oklahoma. Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit. You’re never too old to learn something new about your neck of the woods.
ROFL @ buttering your biscuit!
Beautiful fall pics!
Thanks SMB! Good to hear from you.
Umm, okay, but what kind of biscuit?
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Pretty, pretty trees… will be posting a few very soon here too. Don’t the red leaves just knock you out? I love them.
Di
A fat, doughy one! I do love the red leaves and we have so few. Send lots of photos!!!!
Hey biscuit butt…..that first picture is so huge it’s covering up half your page. Just doing my part in keeping you lined out.
love ya!!
Yeah, I noticed and fixed it. Someone needs to line me out everyday!!! Might as well be you.
For a place that doesn’t have much color variation you have some gorgeous colors. Biscuit butt, I haven’t heard that since I left the south.
I saw you on another blog and you mentioned autumn colors, just thought I would drop by for a visit.
Glad you stopped by to visit. I hope you come back again. We have had more rain this summer than usual and I think that accounts for there being a little bit more color. This weekend the wind blew pretty hard so a lot of the trees are bare now. It was short lived.
Really pretty! Wish the trees turned here. Palm trees look the same year round!
Yes, I can’t imagine having the same weather and the same colors all year around. I like having four seasons.
Beautiful!! Our town is the same way…some yellows and a bit of red but nothing too spectacular.
Guess we’ll just have to enjoy all the colors either through others blogs or travel to those beautiful parts of the country. I vote for travel….
I think we should refer to you as “biscuit butt” from now on since it is pretty catchy.
Love the pics, they turned out great.
UGH! Don’t think that’s one of my favorite nicknames……
